Virtual Meeting FAQs

#PathVisions20 is a fully virtual experience occurring online October 26-29. It is the event where hundreds of digital pathology professionals and industry partners gather to exchange knowledge, resources, strategies, solutions, and more. Over four days of learning, growing, and finding inspiration, attendees are equipped with support in their daily responsibilities as leaders in the field of digital pathology.The Virtual Meeting includes both general and concurrent sessions with a mix of on-demand presentations and live Q&A for attendees to engage with the speakers. All presentations will be recorded for self-paced learning from the comfort of your home or office. Registrants will have access to all recorded presentations for 90-days following the meeting. After which, presentations will be available to DPA members only.  

Attendees must first register to participate in the PV20 Virtual Meeting. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a detailed confirmation email. As the conference approaches, additional information – including login credentials and instructions – will be sent to virtual meeting registrants via email.

Registration for PV20 Virtual will remain open now through the end of the meeting. No partial registrations available.

All non-industry presenters are automatically registered for the conference. Industry presenters are required to register.

No, the PV20 Virtual Meeting is open to non-members as well as members. Please note that members receive discounted registration. Please click here for more information.

Yes, DPA group members who register 10 or more employees receive a discounted rate. Please contact for more information.

All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing no later than Friday, September 18, 2020. A $50 administration fee will be charged for cancellations. Fees cannot be refunded after September 18, 2020. Please email your request to:

YES! We are currently applying for CME credit. You must register for the PV20 Virtual Meeting if you wish to receive CE & CME credits for the conference.

The virtual meeting will provide the same level of exceptional education that you have come to know at Pathology Visions. Your experience will net a greater opportunity to view all educational sessions while obtaining your needed continuing educational hours and professional development as well as interaction with attendees, presenters, and supporters. You will be able to view on demand content at your leisure, as presentations and materials will remain available throughout the meeting! As a virtual event, the opportunity is also a cost savings to the individual/employer as attending requires no airfare, hotel, and per diem expenses.

All registrants will receive an email notification from DPA Show Management when the platform is available in October.

All registrants will be provided with custom log in credentials in October. You will use your credentials to log into the PV20 Virtual Platform for the entire conference.

If you're trying to access your account using a link that was sent to you via email, that is a one-time use link. The link serves as a "refresh my account" link so clicking it multiple times may give you an error message. After clicking the link the first time, set-up your account and go back to the home page to bookmark that page to your web browser. This will make it easier for you to sign-in and access your account throughout the conference.

We will be providing an orientation webinar for all attendees clearly explaining how to access the site, how to navigate to the events you want to attend, what you can expect to see, and how to get the most out of attending #PathVisions20. Can’t make the live orientation? Don’t worry! The webinar will be recorded to view on your own time.

Yes! You will be given the opportunity to select which sessions you’d like to attend virtually. You may go in or out of session rooms as you choose. PV20 Virtual Meeting attendees will be able to view sessions as many times as they would like on-demand.

Yes! Registrants will have access to all recorded presentations for 90-days following the meeting. After which, presentations will be available to DPA members only.

The Virtual Meeting will use the Zoom webinar platform to facilitate live Q&A sessions. However, they are embedded into the Pathable platform as a video player so attendees will not have to download zoom to participate.

Please note that attendees will need to download the Zoom application to participate in any live networking sessions, 1:1 meetings and the virtual poster hall. Please note that a license is not required. For those planning to join the networking sessions during the live conference, DPA recommends that all attendees test the Zoom functionality prior to the Virtual Meeting. You can test the Zoom functionality at the following link:

DPA will be uploading both the recorded presentations and live question-and-answer sessions. These recordings are hosted directly on the DPA website and do not require the use of Zoom.

The conference platform highly recommends Google Chrome as the preferred browser. If you are experiencing above average loading time (1 min or more), we suggest switching over to Google Chrome.

We recommend you add sessions you plan to attend to your personal agenda. This will come in handy when fellow attendees reach out to schedule a private meeting. You can export your personal schedule to your calendar using the ‘Export Calendar’ function at the top of the main ‘Conference Agenda’ and ‘My Agenda.

1. Mouse over the Schedule menu along top toolbar and select ‘Agenda’ to see the full schedule.
2. Click a session to view the session details and select ‘Reserve Spot’, or:
3. Mouse over the session you wish to add and click the “+” button.

The session's video is embedded in the website and will appear to the left of the Chat Box. There is no need to pop-out to a separate Zoom video. Please continue to refresh the page until the video loads. Even after clicking on "Join Live Meeting" you may encounter a gray/black box as the embedded video loads. Please refresh the page and try again until the video appears.

For private meetings, you’ll see them pop up on your agenda. If you click into the meeting, you should see the person that you invited. If there is a green check next to their name, it means they have accepted the invitation. If there is gray question mark, it means an invitation has been sent but the invitee has not yet responded.

If the invitee does accept the invitation, the private meeting session should have a “Join Live Meeting” button that will be live at the time of the meeting. It will operate like Zoom and should ask for your video and/or audio to chat with the other invitee.

1. A device that is connected to the internet, either by ethernet or WiFi (preferably a computer; tablets and mobile devices can be used if necessary).
2. A stable internet connection (check your internet speed by clicking here; some slower speeds will result in slower loading times for our web pages).
3. A platform-supported web browser (we strongly suggest using Google Chrome when navigating the virtual conference as Safari and Firefox can have issues viewing webinars).
4. Zoom application downloaded to your device (Zoom is only required for live networking sessions, virtual poster hall and private meetings with attendees - download the software for free here).
