Spatially map and quantify total gene expression in the tissue context with Visium Spatial solutions
Assessing gene expression with morphological context is critical to our understanding of biology and the progression of disease. Historically, it has been challenging to spatially interrogate complex heterogeneous tissues in a high-throughput manner, especially without previously generated assumptions about the genes being expressed. With Visium Spatial solutions researchers can now map the whole transcriptome in fresh frozen and FFPE tissue sections with morphological context.

Nicole Abreu, PhD

Nicole earned her PhD in Microbiology and did her postdoc at the University of California, Berkeley. There, she used bacterial genetics to study cellular organization, and molecular interactions in microbial communities. Afterwards, Nicole was a lead R&D scientist at Resilient Biotics, an Illumina Accelerator startup company, before joining 10x Genomics. At 10x, Nicole enables customer science as a Science & Technology Advisor.
