Call for Trainees


Deadline: October 31, 2022


The DPA is seeking up to four (4) pathology trainees (residents & fellows) to remotely assist with building content for the Digital Anatomic Pathology Academy (DAPA).


Trainees will have the opportunity to collaborate with expert pathologists who will help in brainstorming and editing content for DAPA. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): creating one assessment per month and adding at least one diagnosis per week to the High Yield Section.



  • At least a second year pathology resident or fellow (through 2023)

  • A current DPA trainee member (annual membership is FREE for current residents & fellows)

  • Serve on the DPA Education Committee

  • Commit a minimum of 2-3 hours each month

  • Adhere to metrics set by leading pathologist

  • Promote the DPA via social media (FB, TW, LI)

  • Submit a post for the DPA Blog regarding experience

  • Submit a brief testimonial related to experience


In recognition for their efforts, selected candidates will receive a travel grant in the amount of $3,000 to attend Pathology Visions 2023 taking place October 29-31 in Orlando, FL.


Recipients must also adhere to all requirements as they pertain to #PathVisions23, including:

  • Promotion of the conference via social media, etc.

  • Submission of a brief video recording

  • Staying at the host hotel for the duration of Pathology Visions

  • Attending the President’s Dinner on Saturday, October 28

  • Engaging in sessions, visiting posters, networking with attendees, etc.

  • Submission of a brief testimonial related to experience at PV23
