5 CME Credits to Be Offered at Pathology Visions 2014
Pathology Visions 2014 will cover a broad range of topics relevant to digital pathology. Digital pathology is growing rapidly as a method of viewing microscopic glass slides virtually. It encompasses the steps of scanning, interpretation, manipulation, analysis, distribution and management. Digital images can be used for a wide variety of purposes, from education, evaluation and research.
At Pathology Visions 2014, the Digital Pathology Association (DPA) will offer workshops to bring attendees the most cutting-edge educational content, and will offer continuing medical education credits for those in attendance.
The Indiana State Medical Association designates these lectures for a maximum 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Pathology Visions has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) and the Digital Pathology Association. The ISMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. All education formats are 1.5 and 2 hour workshops.
In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standards for Commercial Support, educational programs sponsored by the Indiana State Medical Association must demonstrate balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor. All faculty, authors, editors and planning committee members participating in an ISMA-sponsored activity are required to disclose any relevant financial interest or other relationship with the manufacturer(s) of any commerical product(s) and/or provider(s) of commercial services that are discussed in an educational activity.
