Dr. Klimstra recently joined Paige.AI as Chief Medical Officer after 30 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the last 10 serving as Chair of the Department. He is an internationally known expert in the pathology of pancreatobiliary and gastrointestinal neoplasia and has authored over 500 papers, dozens of book chapters and reviews, and 4 books. As Chair at MSK, he emphasized the incorporation of novel technologies into pathology practice, and he oversaw the implementation of digital pathology and the development of a program in computational pathology that established MSK as one of the leading institutions in the US in these disciplines. He is also a co-founder of Paige, a spin-off company from MSK that seeks to bring artificial intelligence for pathology into clinical practice.
