Michael joined Roche Diagnostics in 2006 and has been Lifecycle Leader for Digital Pathology since October 2015. In this role, he leads the Digital Pathology team in Santa Clara, California to develop and commercialize the Digital Pathology portfolio of products and technology for Roche. Michael also is a Past President of the Digital Pathology Association and has been a member of the DPA Board of Directors since 2015. He currently serves as President of the Digital Pathology Association Foundation. Michael has held a number of sales and marketing leadership roles at Roche and is passionate about the opportunity to transform cancer diagnostics with Digital Pathology.
Giovanni Lujan, MD

Dr Lujan is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Director of Digital and Computational pathology at the Ohio State University, College of Medicine and The Wexner Medical Center. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by The American Board of Pathology, with expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology and 20 years of experience in that field. He is also certified by The American Board of Artificial Intelligence and Medicine. He completed a surgical pathology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institution after graduating from the pathology residency program at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr Lujan has held previous academic appointments at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Lujan is currently active in many committees and task forces pertaining to the development and integration of Digital Pathology.

Paul Gerrard, MD is a physician executive who focuses on market access and commercialization of new medical technologies and services. Paul started his medical career in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and practiced in both academic and community settings, before making his way to the payer world working at Palmetto GBA, a Medicare Administrative Contractor where he worked on coverage and payment rate determinations for novel technology, including laboratory tests. Following his time at Palmetto GBA, Paul has worked in consulting and industry advising medical technology companies on reimbursement, regulatory matters, and general commercial strategy. Paul currently serves as the Vice President of Reimbursement and Regulatory Affairs at ArteraAI, a cancer AI company.
