Submission Requirements:

 

  • DPA Profile: A DPA profile (member or non-member) is required to access the submission portal.
  • Online Forms: Complete all required online forms, including speaker information, copyright release, and CME disclosure form.
  • Language: Proposals must be written in English.
  • Sentence Case: Only capitalize the first word of a sentence, proper nouns, and acronyms. Do not use all caps.
  • Title: Maximum 100 characters.
  • Abstract: Maximum 2,500 characters.
    • Content: Briefly state the purpose of your research, principal results, and major conclusions.
    • Format: Introduction/Background, Methods/Design, Results, Conclusion/Discussion.
    • Guidelines:
      • Abstracts must be able to stand alone.
      • Avoid references (if essential, cite author(s) and year(s)).
      • Avoid non-standard abbreviations (define at first mention).
      • Images and tables are not accepted or published with the abstract. Abstracts are text-only.
  • Previously Published Work: Abstracts on previously published work are not permitted unless they represent further progression of the research.
  • Presenting Author: The abstract submitter is listed as the first author and presenting author. Requests for co-presenters can be made during the submission process. Please note that their participation is not guaranteed upon proposal acceptance.
  • Author Information: For JPI publication, a complete list of authors with full affiliations is required at submission. Have the names, institutions, and email addresses of all co-authors readily available. Ensure all contributing authors are included, and their names are entered as they should appear in the published abstract. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
  • Author Acknowledgement: All authors and presenters listed on your proposal must complete a required form (sent directly to them via separate email) by the proposal submission deadline.
  • Notification: All submitters will be notified by the end of June 2025. We encourage you to make your registration, travel, and housing arrangements early.
  • Poster Consideration: Proposals not accepted for oral presentation will automatically be considered for poster presentation (if you select "yes" on the submission form). Please do not submit the same abstract for poster presentation separately.

 

Trainee & Developing Country Travel Awards:

 

  • Trainee Travel Award: The application is included within the oral/poster submission form and must be submitted concurrently.
  • Developing Country Travel Award: A separate application is required. Proposal submission is not required for this award. If you wish to be considered for both a travel grant and presentation, you must submit both forms separately.
