Your expertise and insights can make a significant impact on our member community. We encourage you to share your valuable knowledge!

 

Guidelines

 

These guidelines outline the requirements for creating DPA microlearning videos, ensuring consistency, quality, and educational value.

 

 

Video Format & Brand Consistency:

 

  • Duration: 1-3 minutes
  • Branding: Include the KnowledgeBytes logo animation at the beginning of each video
  • Template: Use the DPA PowerPoint template if incorporating slides (available on the submission page)
  • Recording: Record your video using your preferred platform (Zoom, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • File Type: Submit your video as an MP4 file. If using slides, submit the original PPT file
  • Content Focus: Educational material only. Promotional or commercial content is strictly prohibited
  • Quality: Adhere to the attached video production tips and best practices document
  • Structure: Begin with a brief introduction of the topic and conclude with a concise recap of key takeaways
  • Materials/Resources: If applicable, mention any materials used and recommend relevant resources for further learning
  • Conflicts of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest

 

Content Categories:

 

Choose one of the following content categories for your submission.

 

1. Disease/Case Focused:

  • Present a single case or pathologic entity
  • Briefly describe the clinical presentation or gross appearance (optional)
  • Highlight 2-3 key histologic findings.
  • Mention the most relevant IHC or other ancillary studies (optional)
  • Summarize the main learning points
  • Recommendation: Use DAPA for digital slide examples
  • Example: Lichen Planus (by Zendee Elaba)

 

2. Innovation:

  • Explain the concept, idea, functionality, and/or impact 
  • Clearly articulate the innovation
  • Discuss its potential benefits and implications
  • Note: Avoid focusing on specific products, tools, or brands. Marketing or promotional language is not permitted

 

3. Workflow:

  • Describe a specific workflow within digital pathology or AI, including its process, challenges, and solutions
  • Explain the workflow steps
  • Discuss any barriers or obstacles to adoption
  • Share lessons learned and strategies for overcoming challenges
  • Highlight the impact of the improved workflow
  • Note: Avoid PR campaigns, marketing, or endorsements of specific products, instruments, or vendors

 

4. Developing World Perspective:

  • Address a challenge or opportunity related to digital pathology or AI in a developing world context
  • Clearly define the problem
  • Share processes, solutions, and their impact
  • Discuss lessons learned
  • Where possible, highlight a lesson or insight that may be applicable globally

  2. Upon successful submission and approval, we will schedule your video for posting
