Dr. Saad Nadeem is an Associate Attending Computer Scientist in the Service for Predictive Informatics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). His lab (https://nadeemlab.org) has developed and clinically deployed two state-of-the-art AI models across pathology (https://deepliif.org) and surgery (https://opwise.org). DeepLIIF (https://deepliif.org) is MSK-patented yet fully opensource (data/code/models publicly available) virtual staining AI algorithm for universal immunohistochemistry quantification, integrated in clinical workflow with anticipated case load of >100,000 whole-slide images processed per year at MSK. Opwise (https://opwise.org) is an AI model deployed at MSK (multi-surgeon randomized clinical trial ongoing) for improving communication among operating room staff with the ultimate goal of reducing operative time/costs and improving patient outcomes associated with complex procedures such as robotic assisted radical cystectomy and robotic whipple surgery.
