Dr. Moreira received his MD from Rio de Janeiro State University. He completed his residency in Anatomic Pathology and a fellowship in Cytopathology at New York University. He has dedicated his professional activities to thoracic pathology and respiratory cytology. His clinical and applied research has resulted in over 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and several book chapters. Dr. Moreira is an active member of several pathology societies notably USCAP, Pulmonary Pathology Society (PPS) and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
