Founded by pathologist Tom Grogan MD, 2025 marks Roche Diagnostics' tissue franchise Ventana Medical Systems (VMS) 40th anniversary! In this interactive workshop, we celebrate VMS's impact on anatomic pathology and how Roche's product roadmap will lead pathology laboratories into the digital future. Keith Wharton, MD PhD, Roche Diagnostics, will review the state of interoperability in digital pathology, with emphasis on how digital pathology can be reimagined as an intrinsic design element at the center of intelligent diagnostic systems of the future. Ali Gabali MD PhD, McLaren Health, will share how digital pathology has unlocked new collaboration and enabled better patient care. We will conclude with a panel discussion including Dr. Gabali and Luke Benko, International Business Leader, Roche Diagnostics, led by Dr. Wharton. This workshop is open to all pathologists, lab leaders, and IT professionals interested in learning more about key considerations of interoperability in digital pathology.
