As digital pathology moves beyond initial deployment, the next challenge is making the platform work for the real-world complexity of modern pathology practices. In this session, Versant Diagnostics will share how its adoption of computational pathology solutions has optimized its diverse, multi-site pathology network — with multiple LIS environments, commercial vendor integrations, additional API-driven workflows, and selective use of third-party AI. Importantly, this session will include candid perspectives from a practicing pathologist—highlighting what works well, what still needs improvement, and the realities of adopting computational pathology workflows in daily practice. The discussion will focus on how digital connectivity can improve pathologist experience, enable workload balancing and subspecialty collaboration, and create a scalable ecosystem where geography is no longer a barrier to diagnostic expertise. Attendees will leave with a practical view of what comes next after go-live.
