Art & Haiku Contest

No art degree required. No poetry experience necessary.

Just have fun and share your creativity with the DPA community!

Submission Deadline: October 2, 2026

Whether you capture the beauty of pathology through visual art or summarize its impact in seventeen syllables, we invite you to share your original creations to the PathVisions26 Art & Haiku Contest.

Art Contest

  • Submit an original visual artwork inspired by pathology, science, medicine, technology, or your experience in the field. Digital artwork, photography, drawings, paintings, sculptures, mixed-media pieces, and other original creative works are welcome. Physical artwork can be submitted as a high-quality photo or scan and will be displayed digitally onsite. Submissions must be the entrant's original work.

Haiku Contest

  • Craft an original 5-7-5 syllable poem capturing the essence, innovation, or daily experience of pathology, medicine, science, or digital pathology.

Can I enter both contests?
Absolutely! Attendees are welcome to submit an entry to both the Art Contest and Haiku Contest.

What Can I Win?

One winner will be selected for each contest.

  • Art Contest: The winning artist will receive a commemorative certificate presented onsite at Pathology Visions 2026 for a special winner photo opportunity, plus a personalized award piece mailed after the conference.
  • Haiku Contest: The winning poet will receive a commemorative certificate presented onsite at Pathology Visions 2026 for a special winner photo opportunity.

Participants do not need to be present to win, but we encourage you to join us for the certificate presentation and photo before heading home! Certificates will be emailed after the conference to any winners who are unable to attend.
